Fantastic book, fantastic series.

Rick's introduction at the beginning makes good reading. He's surprised by his success, and now has the pressure of story progression, while keeping those elements which made the series such a hit- the steady flow, keeping the main characters in, well, character, and, of course, keeping all the witty repatree and humour.
I think I can safely say , and I think the previous 10 reviewers would agree with me, that it's Mission Accomplished. The only thing to be unhappy about is the fact we have to wait until the next book!
Start with book 1, and then buy the next 3. You'll have a fun time and I'm sure you won't regret it!

Not as good as first book in series, but returning to fun, at a reasonable price

Unfortunately the author still seems to be taking himself a little too seriously. But he has started to return to the witty tongue in cheek vampire thriller that made this series a little odd, yet a lot of fun. Gan an old vampire with the morals of Dracula and the body of a ten year old girl is charming in her part of the three way love triangle with Bills "True Love". In the theme of romantic love straight from the time of the middle ages Bill's unrequited love turns out to be "The Icon" true enemy of all vampires. Gan remains true to he love of Bill and Bill remains true to his love. A doomed love triangle. Sally continues to develop as the deadly a hottie with an attitude, who oddly enough remains true to her "friends".
This is not as much fun as the first book (Bill the vampire/ Tome of Bill). The series premise is reminiscent of the TV series The Big Bang. Bill stays true to his roots, a nerd to the end.
Read the first in the series and if you enjoyed it continue the adventure in the next book.

Very engaging series

Damn it! Like the other books in this series, I couldn't put it down - I read it in day. Now I have to wait till the next one comes out.
This book was a bit more serious than the previous books. And by that I mean that while it's still funny and snarky, the overall tone seemed a bit more serious; that's not a bad thing, just a tad different. I don't want to write too much because I don't want to spoil anything. If you've liked the previous books in the series, you should like this one, too.
